New Single: KLDD - Jaded

In the never-ending hunt for fresh new music and talent it can sometimes appear a task or chore to go scrolling through for hours on end so - lucky enough for the lot of you - that’s exactly what Niamh Rowley spends her time doing. With festival season so close you can almost smell the muddy wellies, she takes a listen to a track that could well soundtrack your summer.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Emerging Irish indie rockers KLDD formed a united bond in their school years, which led them to starting their musical journey together. Drawing on influences such as Fontaines D.C, Sam Fender and The Stone Roses, the band have the makings of promising newcomers within the indie scene and make them a definite group to watch out for as they continue their rise along the ladder of the industry. Consisting of Killian Callegari on bass, Liam Bennati on drums, David Bradford on lead and Davy O’Toole on vocals and rhythm, These four lads have the potential to become the track of the summer with ‘Jaded’; it’s festival perfect and bound to prove popular amongst the new wave, indie loving crowd.
With an instrumental intro the atmosphere and scene are immediately set before the vocals begin to come in. Exploring the theme of a relationship throughout the track and the trials and tribulations that come along with one is something we can all empathise with. The upbeat energy brought in by the bass and drums complementing the vocals so perfectly allows for smooth easy listening and I can’t help but find it rather enjoyable. However, we not only have the original studio recording of ‘Jaded’ released, we also have the tech house remix done by Faxe On Faxe proving it to be a song worthy of everyone.
There is an undeniable live feel to the track, you can see it working well in front of a live audience at a show by the band as well as at a club or DJ set. Bringing us a delightful melody that catches your attention from the get-go and grips you right until the very end of the track. O'Toole's stunning vocals entrances you throughout. Previous tracks like ‘Little Help (today)’ and ‘Star Crossed’ follow a similar structure and vibe to them proving the boys have found their sound and are working hard to perfect it as they continue.
This is right up my street and I'm sure it will they have a broad range that will appeal to many. With time on their side, they'll continue to develop their sound and I highly advise you all to follow these lads on socials and keep streaming their music to show appreciation for the dedication and talent they have to offer and share with us. Having organised a few shows across the UK and Ireland for the course of the year it’s not something to be missed. Hop on down to one of the shows and support the live music scene as well as an up-and-coming band who truly deserve the love and support.
