Podcast: The Partisan Contingent Episode 1

You may be wondering where I've buggered off in recent weeks. I mean sure, the blog has had the odd review, but I can't take any credit for them. The answer is - as I'm sure you've noticed by now - I've been beavering away on our new feature here at NNWNF. After much blood, sweat, tears, and creative swearing at not being able to edit very well (I got there in the end kids), I'm very happy to share with you the first episode of our very own podcast: The Partisan Contingent.

Let me answer a question that most bands HATE being asked - Why the name The Partisan Contingent? Well, I just like a good syllable combination; the meter is important y'all. Also, as passionate - often fervent - fans of music, we should unite and take over the means of the production studio before there's some sort of McCarthy-esque Muso purge.

Also, I just like talking out of my behind. Episode 1 is called 'Swimming with the Oysters'  for reasons that will become obvious if you listen to the bloody thing.

So what can you expect from the first episode of The Partisan Contingent? I've decided to make a part new music radio show, part interview, part re-occurring playlist Frankenstein's Monster of a Podcast - which is rather lucky because our first guest is the brilliant Brooklyn Art Punks Mary Shelley.

Take a listen to our first episode and like, subscribe and comment on it, because that's something I'm supposed to get you to do; I have no idea what that means. You can listen on one of two links - Spotify below - or if you prefer -  Mixcloud at the bottom of the page.

Music on the show comes from Kara Jackson, Shelf Lives, two blinks, I love you, and The Family Batternberg and we also play a submission played entirely at random, which this time round is the debut single by Glaswegian band Theta.

I'm not telling you anything else, because it feels like that conversation most of us may have had recently trying to avoid spoilers for 'Black Mirror'. That one with the demon dressed as the guy from Boney M is dead good innit? Just listen to the damn pod okay.

Be part of the Partisan.
